Where it all started

I was born in Hungary and came to the United States as a toddler. My family settled in Brandon, and that's where I grew up. I attended grade school here and made lifelong friends in the area. My family eventually moved to Riverview, which is where I finished growing up before heading out on my own.

These areas have shaped me into the person I am today. It's a community that works hard, looks out for each other, and is constantly evolving.

Finding my city

When I was ready to go out on my own, I bought a condo in Ybor City. It was exactly what I needed at that point, full of life and no shortage of things to do. The brick streets, the history, the nightlife, and the energy are what drew me here. But what surprised me was how much I loved the daytime too. The coffee shops, the local restaurants, the Columbia, and the weekend markets made it feel like home. Ybor has a character you can't manufacture.

Then, I met my (lovely and amazing) now-wife, and moved in with her on Harbour Island. It's a different vibe entirely. It's quieter, right on the water, and only five minute walk from everything but with a calm that Ybor doesn't quite have. To me, it's one of Tampa's best-kept secrets.

Why real estate?

I got into real estate because I wanted to help the people in my community find homes they love, without breaking their bank. And I figured the best way to do that was to make the process more honest, more personal, and a whole lot more affordable.

The traditional 3% listing commission never sat right with me. On a $500,000 home, that's $15,000 out of your pocket — just for the listing side. I charge 1%. That's it. Because I believe you should keep more of what you've earned.

We now own two condos in Ybor together. We fixed them up and now rent them out. We chose to do this because  we genuinely believe in the area. Ybor is still undervalued relative to what it offers, and the trajectory is up.

Investing in Tampa isn't just a financial decision for us. This city has given us a lot, and putting our own money into it is how we show up for it. When I tell clients I believe in Tampa Bay, I mean it in the most literal way possible, because we have skin in the game.
